Finding Your Place at Vic. Finding Your Place in the World.
Victoria College (Vic) is committed to providing students with a personal and inclusive University experience inside and outside the classroom. This is an environment where students and teachers are committed to building a community that welcomes diversity, embraces creativity and is energized by challenge. We encourage you to take a look at our Victoria College viewbook, which details our philosophy on education, residence and campus life experiences, and provides information on our renowned Vic One program.
Find Your Place in a Community of Learning
At Vic, we nurture a close-knit learning community from the very beginning of your academic career. Whether it is through our Vic One program, Vic One Hundreds or the 199Y courses offered by the Faculty of Arts and Science, every first-year Victoria College student is required to enroll in a seminar course. You will experience here the academic advantages of being a student of one of Canada’s leading universities and the intimacy of a small liberal arts college.
Find Your Place in an Exciting Student Community
The energy and creativity that distinguish the Vic experience extend beyond the classroom. At Vic, you will get to become a part of a rich student life: we have our own student government, student newspaper, athletics association, drama society and a wide array of cultural, philanthropic and special interest clubs. Whether you live in residence or commute to and from school, you’ll find you place in one of our co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities.
Find Your Place with Help and Support
Vic has many services and support systems in place to ensure that every Vic student has a supportive learning environment. The Registrar’s Office is a student's first stop for academic and student service information providing both individual and group advising sessions.
The Office of the Dean of Students promotes community development and academic success of Vic students through program implementation, student and residence government as well as daily involvement with students.
We also provide students with a range of financial support with more than 100 admission scholarships, awards and bursaries for students who have excelled academically, or distinguished themselves in other areas, such as extracurricular activities, athletics, the performing arts or community service.
Find Your Place in the World
Committed to the principle that global thinking is no longer a choice but a requirement, Vic is focused on its responsibility to prepare students to become responsive and responsible global citizens who can navigate cultures and bring about change across borders. At Vic you’ll find opportunities for accredited study abroad, funding for research-related travel, internships with non-governmental organizations and numerous intercultural experiences on campus.
