Signing Up for Courses

First year students view their start times and sign up for courses on ACORN. Start times will be available for viewing for first-years on July 21st, and course enrollment will begin for first-year students on July 27th. You will receive an email closer to the date reminding you of when you're able to check your start time.

Attend one of the Academic Advising Sessions in the Summer and read the Registration Timetable and Handbook and Calendar to prepare yourself for your course selection. Remember that you will be selecting your courses for both the Fall and Winter term in July.

Paying/Deferring your fees 

There is a late August deadline for partial or complete payment of your fees in order for your registration to be complete. Specific dates for deferment/payment will be available in the future. Students can find an invoice for the 2017-2018 academic session on ACORN under Financial Account once courses are chosen.  Visit Financial Matters for information on how to pay/defer your fees.

Students must pay either the minimum or total amount shown on the student account. All fees are paid through a bank. Keep your receipt or confirmation number - it's your only proof of payment. For phone or online payments with your financial institution, use the 'account number' on the top right hand corner of the invoice format on ACORN.

If you are making a payment from outside of Canada, visit the Fees Website under “Payments from Outside Canada”.

Allow for 3-5 business days and up to 10 business days if your payment is made from outside Canada, before you can see your payment on ACORN. Once a payment has been received or you have deferred your fees, your status will be REG. This means that you are fully registered and will not be removed from courses for lack of payment.  You can verify your registration status on ACORN.
