The Education stream is taught using a multi-disciplinary approach including an exploration of the philosophical, economic, historical, curricular and cultural aspects of education and the profession of teaching. A valuable practicum provides opportunities for students to immerse themselves fully in the exploration of the teaching profession. The Education stream is designed to enhance candidacy for pursuing a career in teaching and/or education.

The Vari Scholarship/Bursary for Future Teachers

Through a very generous donation from the George and Helen Vari Foundation, Victoria College offers an admission award valued at $10,000 to a student who plans to pursue a career in teaching at the primary or secondary level in Ontario.

In order to participate in the practicum component of VIC151Y, you will need to undergo a Police Record Check. This is a mandatory screening process for all students participating in the Education stream.
