James Westman

Most recently on stage at the Canadian Opera Company as 'Frank' in Die Fledermaus, Mr. Westman has enjoyed a stellar array of operatic roles as an internationally renowned Baritone.

Originally from Stratford, Ontario, James Westman has established himself as one of today’s leading young Verdi baritones with a spectacular turn in the role of Germont in La Traviata which has since become his signature as a concert artist in Europe and North America. He has worked with all the major opera companies in Canada, the U.S as well as the most celebrated ensembles in Europe playing iconic roles in Madama Butterfly, La Boheme and Carmen. Westman is a seasoned singing actor who in 1999, was a finalist in the Cardiff 'Singer of the World' Competition.
