The conference was created to reflect on the role of the University in responding to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action, and to provide a space to listen to Indigenous leaders and students speak about their research, reflections, and experiences.

Language will be the central theme of this year’s conference as it is the International Year of Indigenous Languages.  Topics such as tracking history through language and the importance of teaching language, as it goes hand in hand with culture, will be discussed.

The conference will feature keynote speakers, an expert panel discussion, and the Ciimaan/Kahuwe'ya/Qajak Indigenous language initiative.  To learn more about this program, follow this link:
