The ResidencesLower Burwash Hall
Victoria residences, due to their architecture and age, can be challenging living environments for students with accessibility needs. In 1993 Rowell Jackman Hall was built in accordance with current accessibility standards, but today even our newest building does not meet some accessibility requirements.
The Office of the Dean of Students works closely with Accessibility Services to accommodate students who have, in confidence, self-identified as having accessibility needs. Due to financial and time constraints, however, we may not be able to accomodate every request. Students with any accessibility issues or needs are encouraged to contact Accessibility Services at (416) 978-8060 to learn more about the resources and support available at the University of Toronto. Note that specific residence requests made in response to accessibility needs will only be granted to those registered with Accessibility Services.
