2025 Victoria University Holiday Closure Information
Victoria University will be closed from Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, until Friday, Jan. 2, 2026. All buildings will be locked and closed during this period. Campus services will be limited, but Vic U Security will remain on-site.
Campus Access During the Closure
For safety and security reasons, please notify Vic U Security before or upon your arrival at 416-585-4524. Please be patient and remember that some Vic U Security staff may not know who you are and are required to be rigorous about screening to maintain the safety and security of our campus. If your fob or swipe card does not work, Vic U Security can assist after verifying your ID.
Campus Operations During the Closure
- Before you leave for the break, or after being on campus during the break, ensure windows are locked, lights are off, curtains are closed, valuables are secured, and heating units are set to the “on” position to prevent freeze-ups.
- Parking lots will be open during the closure, but the Residence
- Services desk will be staffed at reduced levels. Please arrange your parking pass in advance if you need one to avoid lengthy wait times.
- Display it on your dashboard and park only in a designated space.
- Lock your vehicle.
- Snow removal will continue.
- Maintenance staff will be on site periodically.
- The final outdoor garbage pickup and recycling will be on Dec. 23 and will resume on Jan. 5.
- HVAC systems will be set to energy-saving levels.
- The Print Shop and Campus Mail Services will be closed.
- Reduced housekeeping support for students remaining in residence.
