We are delighted to offer you admission to Victoria College. Once you accept this offer, you will be on your way to starting a fantastic experience as both a member of the Vic community and as a student in the Faculty of Arts and Science in the University of Toronto. The University of Toronto will allow you to pursue interests or academic disciplines you’ve either already discovered or have yet to encounter; being a student of Victoria College will provide you with the right environment to let these interests grow.
There are many advantages to being a Vic student. To name a few:
Small welcoming community – You will be a member of a small, close-knit learning community within Canada’s leading research university, where you will be among vibrant, engaged and friendly students, faculty and staff. Follow us on Facebook to connect with other newly-admitted students
Numerous scholarships and financial aid – Victoria College is fortunate to offer many scholarships to our current students. Students automatically receive an annual in-course scholarship of $1,000 if they maintain an "A" average. Victoria College also has scholarships for extra curricular participation, study abroad, research and post graduate studies. For students in financial need, there are non repayable bursaries and grants available
Diverse residence options and beautiful historic campus – You are guaranteed, in your first year, a space in one of Vic’s five residence buildings should you wish to live in residence. You will also be able to live in residence after your first year, if you want to continue living on-campus. Commuter students can enjoy our beautiful historic campus, including our Goldring Student Centre, a hub for student life activities.
On-site academic and career support services – You will have access to a number of support services solely for Vic students, such as learning strategists, an accessibility advisor, a career counsellor, academic and personal counsellors, and a writing centre.
Transition Mentorship Program – You will be paired with and welcomed into the Vic community by a number of upper year students when you first set foot on campus during Orientation Week, and they will serve as mentors and guide you through your first year experience.
Commitment to a small class experience – Apply to our award-winning Vic One program, a distinctive academic experience for first-year students. It’s designed to highlight the meaningful dialogue that can take place in a supportive small classroom setting (applications are due March 17). You will also be given priority enrolment in July to our Vic One Hundred courses, seminar-style classes where you will have the chance to experience a community environment in your first year of study.
Exciting co-curricular opportunities – You will have opportunities to participate in a wide variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities that complement and enrich your student experience, such as the Ideas for the World Program, a co-curricular initiative that blends social interaction with academic reflection and community awareness.
Read stories about current students, alumni, and Vic clubs.
Be sure to visit the Faculty of Arts and Science website and view the Calendar and Registration Instructions & Timetable when they become available. These pages are your best reference for information about degree requirements, courses, programs, deadlines and much more, so it’s important to get to know them.
