Study Abroad Funding
Vic Study Abroad Awards
Funding to help cover the cost of studying, researching, or other experiential learning abroad for University of Toronto course credit.
- Up to $4,000 (summer or one term)
- Up to $8,000 (full-year exchange)
- Amounts vary based on individual circumstances
- Minimum $1,000 for students from under-represented groups such as students who self-identify as Black or Indigenous, first-generation students, or students registered with U of T Accessibility Services.
- Vic students admitted to an official exchange or summer abroad for U of T course credit
- Exchange programs, Summer Abroad, or academic research/field trips
- Presenting academic work at a national or international conference
- Open to domestic and international students
- Priority given to first-time applicants and those with financial need
- Priority also given to students from under-represented groups such as students who self-identify as Black or Indigenous, first-generation students, or students registered with U of T Accessibility Services.

Bader International Bursary (Herstmonceux Castle, England)
Fully funded opportunity to study abroad at Herstmonceux Castle in England through the University of Toronto Summer Abroad Program.
- Up to $15,000 (full funding for UofT Summer Abroad course)
- Covers travel, tuition and accommodation
- Multiple bursaries available
- Undergraduate students in the Faculty of Arts & Science
- Open to students of all colleges (preference for Victoria College students)
- Must be Ontario residents with demonstrated financial need (OSAP recipients)
Research and Academic Travel Opportunities
Conference Funding
Funding to support Vic students presenting academic research or papers at national or international conferences.
- Up to $500–$1,000
- Supports travel and/or accommodation costs
- Subject to availability
- Victoria College students presenting at academic conferences
- Applies to national and international conferences
- Open to domestic and international students
- Priority given to first-time applicants
International Education Internships
Gain experiential learning through an education internship placement at Branksome Hall, South Korea or other partner institutions for EDS360 course credit.

Robson Travelling Scholarship (Classical Studies)
Funding for graduating students in Classics to study abroad at leading institutions in Rome or Athens.
- Up to $6,000
- Up to three awards available
- Graduating students in Classics, Ancient Greek, or Latin
- Open to Faculty of Arts & Science students (all colleges)
- Preference given to Victoria College students
- Supports study at the American Academy in Rome or the American School of Classical Studies in Athens
- Requires acceptance into a summer program
- Application deadline: March 31
Inbound Exchange Support
Sylvia Woodsworth Campbell Bursary (exchange student from Japan)
- Awarded every two or three years to a female student at Kwansei Gakuin University, Nishinomiya, Japan, who participates in the student exchange between that university and the University of Toronto and who registers at Victoria College.
- Varies based on available funds
- Awarded periodically (typically every two–three years)
- Female student from Kwansei Gakuin University (Japan)
- Participating in the U of T exchange program
- Registered at Victoria College
- No application required
- Awarded when funds are available
- Supports inbound international exchange
Donor
- Family and friends in memory of Sylvia (Woodsworth) Campbell (1917-1988), daughter of Ada and Harold Frederick Woodsworth (1883-1939, Victoria College Class of 1907) of Kwansei Gakuin University in Japan, who devoted her later life to the cause of continuing education for mature women. Established in 1990.
