The Victoria College Office of the Registrar and Academic Advising offers free peer tutoring for first-year courses in Chemistry, Math, Physics and Computer Science, along with support for some core 200-level Statistics courses. Sessions are open to all currently registered students in the Faculty of Arts and Science enrolled in the supported courses.
Peer Tutors provide “drop-in” style tutoring: students come in person (and in some cases, join on Zoom), check in using a Microsoft Survey Form and receive help with take-home problem sets and practice questions. The Tutors will help coach you to work through the material, using both their tutor training and their experience in the same courses.
There is no tutoring during Reading Weeks/Study Breaks or holidays and tutoring shifts do not extend into the final assessment period.
